The Road to Santiago This walk or pilgrimage, The French Route, begins in Saint Jean Pied de Port. It is a trip of 774 kilometers up the Pyrenees and then towards west to the Cathedral in Santiago de Compostela in Galicia. The Milky Route accompanies from the sky and the essence by a millenarian route from the Earth. It can not be described, it is you, the pilgrim, the one that step by step, must discover it in the landscapes. There's plenty of time to contemplate of the millenarians and enigmatic stones that lay out the routes. Enjoy the kindness and hospitality of the pilgrims and the people living close to the route. This pilgrimage is not only to Catholics, but also to pagans and heretics. |
